Saturday, August 11 –
The forecast was for heavy thunderstorms and we woke up to rain, thunder and lightning that continued through to early afternoon. As ways of moving through nature was the theme of the color-keying workshop, we adjusted the plan to use the back veranda at the Burrows-Matson House for our stage and backdrop. Sam Valentin, the Events and Rentals Coordinator at the Bay Preserve signed up to take the workshop and she doubled as a production assistant. Nancy Beavers and Nancy Guth were the two other enthusiastic participants. The smaller group allowed more time for each of the three participants to move through the scene in blue suits. After a look around editing software and discussions of the results and other possibilities for the blue suits, the weather cooperated in clearing up. We moved outside again, for a second round of recording in the Bay Preserve greenery.
