On Tuesday, August 7 we had the pleasure of lunching with some of the people responsible for making things happen at the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast, as well as the President and Board Members of the Floyd C. Johnson and Flo Singer Johnson Foundation. This is the Foundation that provided funding for the renovation and upkeep of the Carriage House Welcome Center and Artists’ Residence at the Bay Preserve, Osprey.
We were a group of eight with many aspects of conservation and preservation threads in common. Each person at the table brought insightful comments into what were mainly conversations surrounding appreciation of nature and personal histories of outdoor life. While we are still getting out to gather more material for our project research, having lunch and meeting face to face with people behind the scene enriched the feeling of welcome we have enjoyed since arriving at the Bay Preserve.
Present at the lunch were:

Christine Johnson, President
Suzanne Gregory, Director of Programs & Marketing
Floyd C. Johnson and Flo Singer Johnson Foundation
Diane Barth, President
